Picture of a very handsome man

Anders Findal Jørgensen

I am a -year-old game designer from Norway. I have worked on some cool projects like Mørkredd, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley and Fruitbus. I have the most experience with being a tester and QA specialist. I am looking to pivot into a design position, and I’m actively looking for such an opportunity.

I get praise for my diligence in any given task and take pride in that. I like to join game jams and test my design skills. I dabble in programming, art and sound design. Designing a game is about creating a cohesive whole so I try to understand how to make a mechanic, visual style or leitmotif when taking ideas to others.

If you want to contact me, you can DM me on Bluesky.

Education

Aug 2017–Jun 2020

Høyskolen Kristiania – Game Design Bachelor

I have comprehensive schooling in Gamedesign and its satellite disciplines, such as Level Design and System Design. The degree also covers the broader spectrum of disciplines in the industry to gain the knowledge to deliver games and sell them. These were programming, marketing, project management, pre-production and prototyping.

Management -SpillKlimpring

I help in running the Global Game Jam Oslo site as part of a community called SpillKlimpring. We also run physical sites for various other gamejams, as well as digital jams.

Participant - Bibliogames

Bibliogames is a volunteer organisation whose mission is to educate librarians and people in general about games. Many libraries in Norway don't have access to the kind of equipment games require. This is where Bibliogames comes in and gives kids and adults alike the opportunity to see games as more than just Fortnite and Minecraft. There is beauty and knowledge in games.

Skills

Game dev

Godot

Godot has quickly become my favourite game engine. It is really enjoyable to prototype in and I don’t have to worry about the whims of a board of directors suddenly deciding that they need another yacht.

Unity

I have the most experience with using Unity when crating games. All of my game design, programming, system design and shader knowledge I have learned while using Unity.

Unreal

Most of my experience with Unreal is in Level Design and basic blueprint work. You can see examples of my Level Design in the Cyberpunky project.

Art

Aseprite

I have used a few pixel art focused programs, and have pretty much landed on Aseprite as my default for pixel art asset creation and animation.

Clip Studio Paint

Recently picked up CSP and I'm really enjoying drawin in it. Planning on testing out the animation features and maybe make some small comics.

Blender

I've made the donut and some simpler models for my prototype projects. I want to do more.

Programming

C# with Unity

I have basic to intermediate knowledge of C#. I can solve most problems with time, but I need more experience to get more comfortable with programming. I have taken a course in C# to sure up my knowledge about the programming language.

HTML CSS and Bootstrap

During quarantine I learned how to make websites. I'm pretty proud of making this website by myself, it's been a fun project. This website is purely HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. So my knowledge about how to make websites is limited to those fields.

Interests

Cooking

I enjoy cooking. Due to the limitations of small apartments in Oslo, I dont have an oven, to my ever burning frustration. So I mostly cook things that fit in a pot or frying pan. A lot of Asian food is primarily prepared in a pan or pot, so my repertoire is heavily weighted towards that.

Custom keyboards

2020 was a really boring year so I got into making and collecting custom keybards. On my free time I help the keyboard designers Protozoa Studio with questions on their discord. You can find some pictures on my twitter (Press the twitter icon at the top of this website).

Building computers

I got into building my, and my friends computers after my dad and I built one in my early teens. Since then, whenever I get the chance, I really get into finding the parts and making them look as good as I can.

Space and Plants

Space has always fascinated me, while plants are a newer interest. I like learning facts about these things in a very casual and unhurried manner. I read many sci-fi books in my free time, and Im making a game about growing plants.
